The back cover of this brochure boasts almost 300 InterSport outlets across the United Kingdom, but, while the modern-day InterSport site provides links to 40 national operations, the UK is not one of them.
This eight-page booklet came free with Shoot! on the opening weekend of the 1991-92 season, which was of course the one where the bold adidas Equipment branding was first seen, on the Liverpool kits.
That their new away strip and goalkeeper shirt feature in the same image allowed the tiny differences in shade of green to be discerned, while the model wearing the magnificent new Reds tracksuit looked not unlike Paul Stewart – he would join Liverpool from Tottenham Hotspur a year later and, coincidentally, the same model also dons the Spurs tracksuit.
As mentioned in the catalogue, Anfield was the site for much of the kit photography, which would give an FA Cup semi-final feel to the action shot of the Arsenal and Manchester United change kits were it not for the empty stadium (and the fact that the location would suit United far better).
