With Hummel’s British distributor Elite Sports Group going out of business at the end of 2022, AFC Wimbledon were put under pressure but came up with a new deal with Kitlocker and Umbro.
Once again, the kits were designed by AFC Wimbledon co-founder Marc Jones. The home looks like Boca Juniors but actually takes its cues from late 1990s Parma, while the neck detailing on the away is inspired by that on the Dons’ 1997-98 strip.
As with 2022-23, there was a navy third strip – ‘Black Iris’ the official title of the shade. The collar trim is the same as on the 1990 England shirts.
At the end of March, the Dons collaborated with Warm & Wonderful for a special one-off ‘black sheep’ kit worn at home to Harrogate Town, with all profits from sales going to War Child.
