Euro 96
Lotto’s last set of kits were again an evolution. A button neck was added along with a dashed flag trim on the collar and cuffs while the front of the home shirt featured a watermarked picture from the 1994 World Cup of the team celebrating Wim Jonk’s goal against the Republic of Ireland.
Instead of being a colour-swap, the change shirt featured a fading orange effect on the upper body and shoulders.
1996-97
Nike came in straight after Euro 96, a relationship that endures to this day. The home kit was fairly solid and straightforward – while the flag trim was dispensed with, blue remained as trim and became the main colour on the change kit.
There was a white shirt too, though – its sole outing was a friendly away to France in February 1997.
