Portsmouth’s first home kit produced by Asics featured an abstract pattern which was seemingly unique to them.

The shirt featured in various different combinations of shorts and socks while for games against Manchester United (Coca-Cola Cup) and Blackburn Rovers (FA Cup), ‘Pompey’ featured on the back above the numbers, which featued the Asics wordmark.

Like fellow blue and white Asics sides Blackburn and Millwall, Portsmouth’s change kit was red and black, in an unusual but appealing halved format.
