(MOJ note: This should have been done ages ago but was not, for a variety of reasons – as a result, we’ve broken the multitude of MW designs from the 1992-93 period into three bite-size articles)
Having shown signs of more adventure in their designs in the previous years, Matchwinner really pushed the envelope in 1992, allied with a move to baggier shirts.
Sometimes, it’s hard to do things justice with mere words and so we’ve let these styles speak from themselves. Obviously we don’t have the catalogue in front of us so we’ve taken the liberty of coming up with some names of our own.
‘Seaweed Over The Shoulder’
Part 3B will be along soon – look out for joys such as ‘Train Seats’ (different to ‘Bus Seats’ above), ‘Biscuit Packaging’ and, of course, ‘The Bet Lynch’!
