A simpler time, when a heading of ‘Fans Only’ on the cover called nothing but wholesome images to mind.
The layout is strange – so much dead space listing clubs’ honours with poor-quality photos squeezed in at the bottom (zooming the PDF is recommended) – while the supremacy enjoyed by Bayern Munich in terms of popularity is clear to see.
They are given four pages and are the only club team to have their change kit shown – that training t-shirt and shorts would have made a nice home kit, too.
Otherwise, there is a mix of styles – though the fact that Schalke still had the Equipment-A design was quite jarring, as it was four years old by that stage.
Finally, the adidas roster might seem relatively small – Hamburg had just departed for Uhlsport, for instance – but three years later they would be outfitting exactly half of the Bundesliga.

An Adidas catalogue with nary a goalkeeper shirt in sight – borderline sacrilege! 🙂
