Welcome to another of squad numbers quizzes.
A recent poll on Twitter showed a preference for the ‘journeys’ theme and, as Euro 2024 is a couple of days away, we added an international flavour.
While some of the players are from countries that had gaps between qualification for major finals, the numbers shown represented an unbroken run for each particular player – some right up to and including Euro 2024.
They may not have been selected for every World Cup or continental championship they were available for or there may be instances where they had to withdraw injured, but they were initially allocated those numbers, in the order displayed.
