This was a request from a while back – unfortunately, despite a trawl of old tweets, I can’t for the life of me find who asked for it, and for that I apologise.
South Africa’s kit for the 1998 World Cup was an evolution of the distinctive style used prior to that – while Coventry City didn’t have as varied a palette, their willingness to combine sky blue with navy and white (previously explored in a 1992 Hummel style) lends itself to the design.
