- There were first outings for quite a few kits – West Bromwich Albion away, Crystal Palace away, West Ham United away, Burnley home, Aston Villa home, Sheffield United away and Manchester City third
- Fulham’s new home kit is all-yellow but instead they had to wear their red 2019-20 change strip at Leeds United
- As mentioned, Manchester City wore their new third at Wolves – City do sell off-white change third shorts in their store but these were eschewed
- It would appear that the blue option for match officials has been replaced by a mint-green shirt. Presumably this allows for greater latitude in games featuring teams in royal blue

After gameweek 3, we will add the standings in Matt Smith’s Away Kits Table. Here are the scores: West Brom 3, Fulham 3, Crystal Palace 1, West Ham 3, Tottenham 1, Brighton 3, Liverpool 3, Burnley 3, Sheff Utd 3, Man City 0.
How City thought that the appearance of their third kit without the alternative shorts would escape unnoticed is mystifying. I’m missing the days of Spurs in all-white now and again too. Brighton’s return to an 80s-themed blue home shirt may see less unnecessary changes.
