Everton fan Luke has become an essential follow on Twitter – not just for fellow Toffees fans but for anybody who enjoys well-presented kit graphics.
After a conversation with him led to us asking if there was an FKF he’d like to see, Luke suggested an Everton version of the 2011 Spain shirt, introduced in succession to the 2010 World Cup strips.
Everton are one of the few major clubs never to have worn adidas – it’s something we’ve exploited with previous FKFs.
The German firm took a fairly modular approach with their 2011-12 offerings, with Spain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea’s shirts all sharing elements – obviously, avoiding looking too much like the latter was a key consideration here but the gold trim, contrast side panels and v-neck hopefully achieve that along with the white shorts.
As always, feedback is welcome along with requests for future FKFs – comment below or tweet @museumofjerseys.
