The 2023-24 Premier League concludes on Sunday, with Manchester City set to win the title for a fourth successive season.
A year ago, City premiered their new kit in their last match, away to Brentford. Despite recently launching their 2024-25 strip, they have opted against showcasing it in their final match, at home to West Ham United.
Arsenal, who have a tiny chance of winning the league, revealed their new shirt during the week, but they too will be in the same kit that they have worn during the campaign.

While it was stated in some quarters that PL rules didn’t allow teams in with a chance of winning the title to preview a new kit on the final day, that is – not to put too fine a point on it – bollocks.
The league rules state that one new kit can be worn in either the last home or away game – previously, this only applied to the final home match, leading to teams sometimes wearing unusual colours at their own stadium.
However, only one side will be availing of the facility to wear their 2024-25 kit. While Liverpool’s game at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers marks the end of Jürgen Klopp’s time at the club, they will bid their manager farewell in the kit that will be mainly worn in Arne Slot’s first season in charge.
Alisson Becker – or perhaps Caoimhín Kelleher – will be in the black version of Nike’s new goalkeeper template, which will receive greater exposure at Euro 2024.

Despite the lack of new kits, there are some interesting mashups on show on the final day.
While Bournemouth could wear their first-choice kit at Chelsea without too much trouble, they will be in their light-blue second strip but with dark alternative socks.
Newcastle, away to Brentford, will wear their green away shirt for the fourth and final time – but only the game at Wolves saw them wear the default green socks and they will again be in the white set – as well as the home kit’s first-choice socks, the second and third strips had bespoke white alternatives.
Manchester United have only had to wear white socks with their red shirts once in the league so far but they will switch at Brighton – next season Newcastle are likely to be back in black socks while Man City’s new kit has navy socks, so those games are likely to see United in white socks.
As they did at Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest will swap their sky-blue away shorts and socks for white sets at Burnley while Villa themselves will be in all-white against Crystal Palace.
Fulham are due to wear their white change socks against Luton even though there’s not a direct clash there and there is still a shorts-clash while Tottenham Hotspur, away to Sheffield United, will once again use their home socks with the away shirts and shorts.
Though West Ham United sometimes change against Manchester City due to the sleeves-clash, their primary kit was considered the best option at the Etihad rather than their white or blue strips.
The ten match-ups for the final day are as follows:
Arsenal v Everton

Brentford v Newcastle United

Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United

Burnley v Nottingham Forest

Chelsea v Bournemouth

Crystal Palace v Aston Villa

Liverpool v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Luton Town v Fulham

Manchester City v West Ham United

Sheffield United v Tottenham Hotspur
