The Sunday poll was something we started doing back in the mists of the first Covid-19 lockdown in 2020.

The premise was fairly simple – take a big game on that day across one of the five major European leagues and offer a vote on the clubs’ home kits over the previous decade or so.

It’s something we’ll try to revive on a weekly basis and what better way to start than today’s meeting of Liverpool and Manchester City.

Time constraints mean that it’s only the last five seasons – ideally, it would be the previous 11 – but it still means that one of the two options in each case is that of the defending champions.
