A few months ago, we did a Liverpool/Everton swap, prompting a suggestion from Jonny Thompson:
It’s a good shout and one definitely worth doing. We actually had a City 1980s/90s adidas offering not so long ago, but the 1990-92 Manchester United kit was a unique style, so it’s good to see it in another colourway.
While United’s shorts had a red side panel, we’ve gone with navy for City to tie in with the collar and cuffs of the shirt.

United in Umbro pre-empts reality by two years and, while it wasn’t necessarily the plan to create a direct ancestor of the Red Devils’ 1992-94 kit, that’s what this turned out like.
As with City, we’ve made a slight change to the colouring order of the shorts.
