It’s been a while since we’ve had an FKF, so the best way to make up for that is to go big.
Back in 2021, we collaborated with The Shirt Union for a Templates of Worship article about the Nike T90 design and, far closer to then than now, Tom from TSU suggested a Fantasy Kit Friday featuring the 20 teams in the 2004-05 Premier League, when the design was current.
We loved the idea but, for a few reasons, it hasn’t happened until now. Rather than overloading with 60 kits as a time, we’ll split it in three but, seeing as it’s the festive season, the series will only be spread over five days – part 2 on Sunday and part 3 on Christmas Eve.
One wildcard addition Tom proposed was that, while the home and away kits should largely follow what existed at the time, the third strips should reference a 1990s offering – we’re sure you can spot the ancestry.
