One of our favourite articles to write was the one looking at Luton Town’s tenure with Umbro from 1989-92 – click below if you haven’t visited or want to refresh:
For today’s FKF, we wondered how the Hatters might have appeared if they had made the move to the double-diamond a few years earlier, when Umbro had distinctive colour-block designs.
The home kit is based on the style used by Watford for their home and away kits and Newcastle and Rangers change strips.

Then, retaining the colour-scheme Luton used for their change kits when with adidas in the 1980s – allowing for good mixing and matching possibilities – the away uses the same design Leeds had.

Feedback is welcome as ever, along with future FKF requests, either in the comments below or on Twitter @museumofjerseys.
Some FKF ideas:
-Valencia C.F. in Umbro (1994-95).
-Arsenal in Hummel (1988-89).
-Chelsea F.C. in Nike (1991-92).
-F.C. Barcelona in Adidas (1996-97, Argentina-style).
-Ajax in Kappa (1998-99).
-Yugoslavia in Adidas (2018-19, if that country still existed).
-Manchester United in Puma (2004-05).
Change the navy to black, and swop the shorts over, and they’d be cracking Dundee United kits !
Funnily enough, we did something in that vein a while back!
